ASILOMAR CONFERENCE GROUNDS NAMES JOHN LOZANO DIRECTOR OF SALES AND CATERING
PACIFIC GROVE, CA, November 8, 2006 – Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts announces the appointment of John Lozano as Director of Sales and Catering at Asilomar Conference Grounds, a historic oceanfront retreat on 107 acres in Pacific Grove, California.
In his new position, Lozano will oversee Asilomar’s group sales outreach, conference bookings, catering and banquet services. Working with the property’s accomplished staff, he will direct group contract negotiation, conference policies, reservations and group functions within the resort’s expansive conference facilities and grounds.
A former business owner, Lozano has over 25 years of sales and operations experience. His hospitality industry background includes a recent position as senior sales manager for Moonstone Hotel Properties, where he oversaw sales efforts for three Monterey County hotels. Prior to that, he worked with corporate, association and government groups while sales manager with Inns of Monterey, and also managed staff and worked directly with guests as front desk supervisor at Ventana Inn and Spa.
Lozano is enthusiastic about the special experiences provided to Asilomar guests. “Asilomar Conference Grounds is a well-run retreat in a truly beautiful setting, and I am happy to be joining such an experienced, capable staff,” said Lozano.
